Specials

Is conflict ever a "good" thing?
Yes, because- well just a comment this entry really isn't about specials it's about how I have been playing music since I was 4. okay but back to the because- I had been playing piano since age four and at ten I was getting pretty tired. No offense to all those piano players but I feel like piano is boring. I mean I know that it's hard and I know that it takes a long time to work at but seriously you're just moving your hands this way and that playing random notes that you hope will sound good. Anyways so at ten ALL I wanted was to quit piano so I could play guitar. I put up such a fuss that my parents were forced to take action, but not in the way I intended. I was moved to another piano teacher. His teaching skills were in no contrast to my old one but I held my head high and boycotted my learning of the classical art, knowing that the worse teachers I got the more likely I would reach my dream of playing guitar. On January 17, 2009 I finally got my wish. A beautiful guitar. And now look at me I am a BEAUTIFUL guitar player (if I don't say so myself) :)

That's why if you put up with a little conflict you can get a lot out of it. Still this shouldn't be one of your life lessons. Your probably saying that please could of helped my case a lot more than any whining or crying. But if you know that getting your parents to do anything that they don't want to do is nearly impossible. So don't rule out conflict it's sometimes a "good" thing.
